The Equinox and full moon have brought in some big energies, and with them a feeling of expectation. You know how when you see a flash of lightening you expect the thunder to follow?Right now you are in the state of listening for thunder. You're seeing things differently,a little brighter, a little clearer. The light right now seems very white, and the colors more vivid. And underneath each moment is that feeling of expectation.Listening for the thunder. You're never afraid of the thunder, you just want to know how close the lightening was, and which direction the storm is moving. Will it start out low and rumbling, or a loud clap, right over head? The feeling of expectation is what you're feeling now and you like it.You just can't put your finger on what's changed,You? Or everything around you?BothDon't mislabel this feeling and call it anxiety,Or fear,Or worry,Or stress. It has an aspect to it that does make your hear beat a little faster,So let's call that excitement. As you live now, listening for the thunder,With your heart beating faster,In this energy of expectation,Expect the best.Seriously, it's that kind of energy. It's re ordering your life.Sit inside this expectation confident that The storm has past, everything feels fresh and new,And as you listen for the thunder, Remember it can't hurt you.
What we mean by this is that
Out in your world right now
there are some boiling,
roiling,
simmering,
emotions
held within a seemingly porcelain veneer.
This can be confusing.
You are much more comfortable when
the inside matches the outside,
especially in regards to emotions.
You are witnessing cracks in the delicate
but useful way that certain people have
been able to mask their emotions, and operate
In the world.
When someone who looks to all the world as if they have it all together,
Starts to hiss vitriol thru a smile,
or a person who up until recently has been very measured,
all of the sudden is quick to anger, even throwing things,
and looks to be having a "meltdown",
THAT can be disconcerting...
For you
And for them.
The healthiest, way for your mind and body,
Is always to feel your emotions in the moment.
We do not mean being their victim,
Or being a slave to them.
The goal is to feel them as they come up.
If you do, they stay appropriate.
By that we mean, there is no
"Over reaction" because things have not built
up and boil over at something trivial.
As we are always saying,
When you see this Tempest in a Teapot
Practice compassion.
When the flowers on the porcelain fade,
And the simmering of all their emotions,
causes the pot to crack or overflow,
or break altogether,
Have compassion,
Even if it is you!
If we were there with you on this earthly expedition
you've undertaken,
We would make sure we had our Spiritual Survival Kit with us at all times.
It's not too heavy,
the contents are invaluable
Yet it's so easy to forget!
The number one item in this kit is:
Your sense of humor,
It will get you through any situation,
no matter how tense,
scary,
stressful,
uncomfortable
or unmanageable it may seem.
Without it you are doomed.
Well, maybe not doomed, but it will feel like it!
To help you find your sense of humor,
You may need to take:
A chill pill
Please have plenty of those on hand, and take as needed!
They will help you put situations into perspective
and keep you from taking everything so seriously!
Don't take them on an empty stomach.
They are to be taken with a big meal, with lots of good food
Maybe some wine,
And preferably many good friends!
Next is your map:
Your map is all the books
Teachings,
Seminars,
Classes,
Meditations
and the like, that you have attended and participated
in your whole life.
The knowledge gained form those has accumulated
a vast network of internal discernments,
a sort of spiritual GPS.
Listening to that gut feeling
Will always get you back on track!
Finally your "flashlight"
That is the light you carry with you.
That light in your eyes when something excites you!
If you remember to carry that with you,
your path will always be illuminated.
Don't let others dim your light,
By judging your path,
Or questioning your ways.
These are the contents of YOUR spiritual survival kit.
They have their own!
Now go out there and have some great adventures
knowing that everything is always okay!
Let's keep talking on this subject,
and let's stay with the sea analogy.
Think of those times at the beach
when the ocean looked roiling,
the crash of the waves was loud,
and you could feel the powerof them,
travel from your feet, up through your body,
Into your chest.
The energy was palpable, and filled with majesty.
As you wade into the foamy surf,
You're surprised.
It does not knock your off your feet,
As it has in the past.
It comes in fast and deep, but surprisingly gentle.
It allows you to immerse yourself further,
and to swim easily in the white frothy water,
Far from the crashing of the waves.
After awhile you look to the shore for your point of reference,
your umbrella, that tree, a friend,
and you have been shifted, carried down the beach,
by the subtle power of the tide.
Behind the gentle caressing of this surf,
There has been movement.
You have been carried down the shoreline,
To a different, more beautiful part of the beach,
while inside the gentle energy of the sea.
As you find your footing,
It is easy, there is no pull back in,
your landing is soft and you can easily
wade back to shore.
THAT is a perfect analogy for the waves of energy
that have carried you these past few months.
They are surprising gentle, despite their power,
and there has been a gentle movement forward
To a different shoreline,
A different place in life,
after a very soft landing.
You may be feeling confused,
but really you are not.
That feeling comes when you question where you stand,
as if something about it is wrong.
Listening to your head, your intellect, can lead you astray.
Listening with your heart will always set you straight.
When you feel confused, the universe, your navigation system,
is letting you know you have gone off course.
You know those maps you all look at on your phones while driving?
Ha! that is a lecture for another day!
Anyway, you all do it.
It has your destination as a red dot,
and where you stand currently as a pulsing blue dot.
Now you know how you feel when you've driven
past or around the red dot destination?
And you, the blue dot, keep moving away from where you want to be?
You feel a little confused.
Did you make a right turn when you should have gone left?
That feeling of confusion is just what happens when you
get off course.
It usually happens when you over-think the directions,
and doubt the validity of where you are.
All that is needed is a little course correction
and you're back on your way.
You were never really lost,
nothing was ever really wrong,
and you can thank confusion
for getting your attention
and guiding you back to your path.
Maya Angelou asks, "How do you react when your child enters theroom? Do your eyes light up?We feel that is not only an important question for children, but for anyone in your life.Your partner, spouse, co workers, boss, best friend.Do your eyes light up when you see them? What a difference it would make in people's lives and the world in general,if when you greeted someone, they could see it in your face that you were genuinely happy to see them.Everyone just wants to be seen, to be noticed.Especially by those they love.Start to try to do this.It will take your time and attention, for you will have to consciously greet another. You will have to meet their eyes and show that you see them, and that they matter to you.Believe us when we say ,that you will get much out of this,as it will start to be reflected back to you.Your heart will melt and you will remember these words, the next time you walk into a room, and someone turns around, and when they see you...their whole face lights up with joy!
